Chelsea Football Club in London
Located in West London, the Chelsea Football Club was established in 1905 at The Rising Sun Pub on the Fulham Road. Chelsea F. C. in London is one of the most popular English football clubs with attendance at their games reaching near capacity at all times. Playing in the English Premiership league, Chelsea Football Club London was rescued from debt and danger by Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich. Abramovich purchased the club in June 2003 for £140 million, paid off their debts and spent millions of pounds on new players.
Despite the name, The Chelsea Football Club in London is based in Fulham (not Chelsea) at the Stamford Bridge Stadium London. Interestingly, in 1904 Stamford Bridge Stadium London was offered to the Fulham Football Club however was refused, so the proprietors decided to establish their own football club to play on the grounds. The London Football club's ensign is royal blue shirts and shorts with white coloured socks, manufactured by Adidas. Over the years, Chelsea Football Club London's crest has changed in an attempt to modernise the brand. Originally the crest was that of the Chelsea Pensioner; however this was changed quite a few occasions over the years to the modern crest featuring the blue heraldic lion holding a staff.
