The oldest wine bar in London, Gordon's Wine Bar is a charming, old-world place that is a favourite with the after work crowd. A hidden gem in central London, you could easily miss the entrance which is situated not far from Embankment station, consisting of a doorway and then a steep descent into the bar. The crammed, low ceiling rooms at Gordon's Wine Bar in London add to the old English atmosphere with dim lighting, dusty old wine bottles and centuries old newspapers on the walls, you feel you have stepped back in time.
A selection of Old and New World, award winning wines are on offer to suit all tastes as well as tumblers of port or sherry decanted from barrels above Gordon's Wine Bar in London. And if you are a little peckish, a limited food menu is also available.
Gordon's Wine Bar in London is extremely popular and given its close proximity to Trafalgar Square, this place is usually jam packed with an overspill of drinkers sometimes trickling out onto the street.
