Knightsbridge Shopping (1m/2km)
Knightsbridge is home to Harrods and Harvey Nichols, as well as many well known high street shops and boutiques. Top quality restaurants and bars are also abundant in the area.
Houses of Parliament (2m/3km)
The neo-Gothic building includes the House of Commons and the House of Lords, not to mention the infamous Big Ben. Edward the Confessor had the original palace built in the eleventh century. To see Parliament at work, visit the public galleries, known as the Strangers Galleries. Question Time is the busiest time to visit the House and to attend you must book a ticket through your MP or your embassy. Both houses close at Christmas, Easter and from August to mid October.
Westminster Abbey (2m/3km)
The Collegiate Church of St Peter, Westminster is the Abbey's formal title however the popular title "Westminster Abbey" continues to be used, even though there have been no monks there since the l6th century.
